You know the feeling...August. That endless summer sensation is scarce — you’re starting to plan more intentionally to savor the remaining warm days.
The peak has passed, and we’re collectively, sometimes unconsciously, transitioning to comfort mode while the weather is still nice.

Last year, we spoke with our friends at Indosole about this exact feeling — that transition into comfort. It’s that good-to-great, mesmerizing feeling that you just know when you feel it.
Longtime friends, the Indosole and DESO crews go way back, cross-pollinating friends across a similar industry beat with a memorable night out (or five) along the way.

After what felt like a millenia, we collectively decided the time was finally right to bring the brands together. We came back to the feeling of catching up with old friends, the comfort of being surrounded by a shared view of the world. We wanted to create an experience, not a sandal, that was uniquely identifiable, meaningful, and carried purpose with ease.

American-made has never been a single-note story. It's as much about reducing emissions as it is about the people doing the work. Producing the shoes stateside wasn't in the cards, but Indosole's commitment to responsible manufacturing and their recycled-tire soles brought us to a middle ground we could stand behind, literally.

Each year, billions of tires are thrown into landfills, polluting our lands, and they do not decompose. In Indonesia, these tires are breeding grounds for mosquitos which spread nasty diseases like: Malaria, Dengue, Zika and more. Waste tires are also being burned for cheap fuel, which is very toxic to the earth and our health.
It turns out that tires also make a durable sole for sandals.
